Jerry is our Office Manager. He enjoys meeting and greeting our patients and helping them receive the care they need. Along with the rest of our team, Jerry strives to provide the very best experience to our patients, from the time they check in to the time they check out!
Jerry’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, reading, going to the gym, obstacle course racing, and watching movies. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather and her two daughters.
Teresa is one of the first people you will meet when you visit Mountain Town Dental. As our Schedule Coordinator, since 1999, she’s great at making patients smile! Teresa helps patients feel at ease from the moment they walk in the door with her outgoing, engaging personality. She loves making our patients smile and feel good about themselves, and making them comfortableenough to want to become part of our practice.
Teresa is married to Roger, and has two children, Michael and Ashley, and three grandchildren. She loves spending time with her entire family. She is also active in her local church and its volunteer activities.
Monica graduated from Wilkes Community College with an Associate’s degree in 2015. She started at Mountain town Dental in April of 2018. Monica assists Dr. Stopper and her team with Sleep and Headache Solutions. Monica files and collects medical insurance, discusses insurance benefits and financial options, and schedules patient appointments.
Monica is a native of Ashe County, North Carolina. She is married to her husband, John. They enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family and friends, including their dogs. Monica loves decorating, taking pictures, crafting, and painting.
Kaitlynn graduated with an associates degree from Wilkes Community College in December of 2017 and served as the vice president for the PHI THETA KAPPA honors society. Kaitlynn began working at Mountain Town Dental in May of 2018. Kaitlynn is a financial coordinator here at the office, she works with patients to discuss financial options, files and collects insurance, and also helps schedule patients when needed.
Kaitlynn is a native of Whitetop, Virginia and enjoys being outdoors in her free time. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling to national parks.
Betty began working as a dental assistant in 1977. She started out as the only assistant for Dr. Jenkins and has remained with the practice as it has grown. As lead assistant, Betty strives for continuity with co-workers. It is her passion to help patient feel at ease while having dental treatment and insuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Betty is married to her husband Lanny and has two children and five grandchildren. She loves spending time with family, enjoys being outdoors and traveling.
With over 30 years of experience as a dental assistant, we were happy to welcome Cindy as a part of our team in 2012. She assists our dentists during procedures, maintains sterilization, and ensures materials are stocked and ordered. Cindy has a special appreciation for the advanced technology used in our office. She enjoys being able to use her phlebotomy certification, obtained 5 years ago, by assisting in placement of L-PRF grafting.
Cindy loves being outside, whether she’s working in the garden, hiking, or drinking coffee on the porch with friends and family. She enjoys going to church, singing, and being involved in charitable events.
Erin graduated Wilkes Community College in 2013 and has 5 years of experience is dental assisting. Erin assists the doctors with patient care and makes sure treatment rooms are sterilized, stocked and ready to go. She loves helping patients! She also enjoys learning and using the new technology used at Mountain Town Dental.
Erin is married to her husband, Brad. They love to hike and be outdoors.
Raven graduated Ashe County High School in 2008. She has been a dental assistant for over 5 years and also has had her phlebotomy certification since 2014 . As Treatment Plan coordinator she gives our patients a clear view of needed and desired treatment. She enjoys caring for patients and helping them make their dream smile a reality!
In her spare time Raven enjoys beekeeping and kayaking with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys gardening and playing fetch with her dog.
Sydney is one of our newest team members. She began her dental career with us July of 2017. With 5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, Sydney is a valued member of our team. She is a dental assistant with a passion for outstanding patient care. Sydney plans to continue her career, with hopes of attending a dental hygiene program Fall 2019.
Theresa enjoys meeting new people and helping them attain good dental health. She is a detail-oriented and compassionate dental hygienist who has over 30 years of experience providing gentle yet thorough care. Theresa takes great pride in her work making people’s smiles healthier and brighter!
Theresa is married with two children, Mabry and Bennett. The family raises horses and goats, and has several dogs and outdoor cats. Theresa enjoys carriage driving her horses, watching her children play soccer, and being active in Veterans Service Groups.
Kelsey graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College with an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2008. She has been with Mountain Town Dental ever since! Kelsey is committed to ensuring that each patient is comfortable and offers the highest level of care. She enjoys using the newest procedures and technology to help patients achieve happy, healthy smiles.
Kelsey lives in Wilkes County with her wonderful husband, Seth. They love being outside and spending time with friends and family.
Laura graduated from Cape Fear Community college with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2011 and finished her Bachelors of Science Degree in dental hygiene from East Tennessee State University in 2012. She loves making patients feel at ease and helping with all their oral hygiene needs.
Laura is married to her high school sweetheart, Allen, and they have 3 daughters, Delaney, Vail, and Cora. Laura enjoys shopping for antiques, restoring vintage patio furniture, and decorating their 1930s farmhouse vacation rental.
